About the event
Hungary, the ICPDR, UNDP-GEF, UNEP and EC, DG ENV-D.1 are jointly organizing a workshop on "Integrating land and water management to reduce impacts of floods and droughts on water status in the Tisza River Basin District" on 26 – 27 April 2010 in Szolnok, Hungary.
The workshop aims to allow information exchange on the following topics:
1) Land use (focus on wetlands, agriculture and forestry).
2) Floods and excess water.
3) Water scarcity and droughts.
This workshop will play an important part in finalizing the discussions of the ICPDR’s Tisza Group [pdf, 46 KB] in their development of an Integrated River Basin Management Plan for the Tisza River Basin.
